ABOUT THE SEMINAR

Theme: Women Empowerment through Financial Literacy Initiatives

The status of women empowerment in India has shown an upward trend over the last decade. Yet there are sections of women in India who have been excluded from this development. One of the facets of women empowerment is a deeper understanding of financial matters. The first step to economic independence for women is a control over their own finances. The seminar aims to create awareness through basic training in financial literacy. Financial literacy is an understanding of personal finance and the ability to use that understanding to benefit their economic condition.
